Roberto Cordero Piazza was born in Montevideo, Uruguay on October 17, 1974.

In 2005 participated in the “X International Literary Competition for Poetry and Fiction” organized by the Editorial Nuevo Ser – Buenos Aires Argentina. He was a finalist from 1842 participants and chosen to be part of the anthology “Literary World 2005.”

In 2006 again was a finalist in the “XI International Literary Competition for Poetry and Narrative” organized by the Editorial Nuevo Ser – Buenos Aires Argentina. Among a total of 2143 participants was selected to be part of the anthology “Literary World 2006.”

That same year he was invited by the Editorial Nuevo Ser – Buenos Aires Argentina, part of the literary project “Lyrics and Vocals.” To the authors call 250 semifinalists were selected for the competitive examinations from 2001 to 2005. Performing well a collection of six volumes that include authors from Latin America, Spain and as well as speaking Hispanic residents in Europe.

In 2007 was shortlisted for the 2nd Poetry Contest “Alfonsina Storni” organized by the Popular Library and Cultural Center El Talar, Argentina.

In 2008 the Editorial “Croquis” of Buenos Aires Argentina, published his first book of poetry for children with coloring sheets, ” “De Duendes y Hadas”.

In the same year, he participated alongside 18 Uruguayan novice writers an anthology of short fiction, ”Proyecto 17-11” The same was done by Abrapalabra Ediciones, Montevideo Uruguay.

In 2009 he was part of a special edition of Abrapalabra Edition magazine short story, “Abrapalabara para leer bajo el sol”. The launch was held at the Ateneo de Montevideo, Uruguay on 10 December.

In 2010 one of his stories, “La granja de Doña Aida”“At Mrs. Aida’s Farm” was selected by the National Public Education Administration of Uruguay (ANEP), to be included as a virtual book (e-book) within the Portal Ceibal . The story has the dual purpose of being used as teaching materials and reading. Teachers and children can access it from their XOs.

In 2014 I obtained a special mention in ” Concurso de Microrrelatos del 13″ organized by Vivi Libros in its 13th birthday.

 

In 2015 he was finalist of Certámen Mundial Excelencia Literaria -Poesía., organized by M.P. Literary Edition, U.S.

In 2017 Editorial Difundia, Madrid, Spain, publishes its first Juvenile children’s novel; “Orks Dream”.
